The clients of the Castle Pines Ct project wanted to add a conditioned space to their house with a goal of creating a connection to the forested creek valley at the end of their lot. After an in-depth investigation of the house, it was determined that adding a porch to the back of the house would create this connection. The design of the porch addition incorporates large panels of screens to supplement this connection. The new 240 SF porch addition will feature a hanging daybed and a pot belly wood stove. The scope of the project included the regrading of the grade on the backside of the house to provide proper drainage. The screened-in porch was design to one day be converted into a fully enclosed room. Solatect Design + Build, LLC is serving as the Architect and General Contractor for this project.
